Terms of Service

Welcome to QRifyMe! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the QRifyMe website, mobile applications, physical and digital QR-based eTags, communication masking systems, and secure document vault services (collectively, the "Services"). The Services are operated by QRifyMe Technologies ("we," "us," or "our").

By registering an account, purchasing or using our QR eTags, scanning a QRifyMe tag, or accessing any part of our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not access or use our Services.

1. Eligibility and Account Registration

To use our Services, you must be at least 18 years of age and hold a valid driver's license or have legal authority over the vehicles registered in your account. When creating your account, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete details. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

2. QRifyMe eTag Usage and Rules of Conduct

Our QRifyMe eTags are designed to enable secure, privacy-protected communication between vehicle owners and the public, helping address parking, emergency, and towing issues safely.

  • Permitted Use: eTags must be placed visibly on your registered vehicle (such as the front windshield or dashboard) to allow scanning for vehicle-related notifications, alerts, or emergency situations.
  • Prohibited Conduct: You agree not to use the Services to:
    • Harass, stalk, threaten, or abuse other users, scanners, or vehicle owners.
    • Engage in fraudulent activities, impersonate law enforcement, or provide fake vehicle documents.
    • Use our QR codes on vehicles you do not own, lease, or have permission to manage.
    • Obstruct or evade traffic rules, parking regulations, or use the tag to mask illegal activities.
  • We reserve the right to instantly suspend or terminate your account and deactivate your tags if we detect any violation of these conduct rules.

3. Privacy-Protected Communication Services

QRifyMe provides phone number masking to allow scanners to contact vehicle owners via voice calls, WhatsApp, or SMS without sharing real phone numbers. You acknowledge that:

  • Communication is routed through third-party telecommunications networks and masking gateways. While we strive for high reliability, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free network routing.
  • Masked calls may be subject to fair usage limits depending on your active subscription plan.
  • You are solely responsible for any interaction or dispute that arises between you and a person who scans your vehicle eTag. QRifyMe acts only as an anonymous routing bridge and is not a party to any direct disputes.

4. Secure Document Vault and Smart Reminders

The secure Document Vault is provided for your convenience to store vehicle documents like Registration Certificates (RC), insurance, and Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificates.

  • Vault Security: Access to files stored in the vault requires One-Time Password (OTP) verification. While we encrypt files using AES-256 standard encryption, you are responsible for maintaining mobile phone security to receive OTPs safely.
  • No Government Affiliation: Stored documents are displayed as digital copies for convenience. QRifyMe does not certify or legally authenticate these documents, and they may not replace physical documents when requested by local transport authorities or law enforcement.
  • Smart Reminders: Reminders for PUC, insurance, or FASTag expirations are convenience features based on dates provided by you or your logs. It remains your sole legal obligation to keep your vehicle documents, insurance, and FASTag balances up to date.

5. Payments, Subscriptions, and Cancellation

Some parts of our Services, such as physical eTags or premium masked calling tiers, are subject to fees:

  • Billing: Payments are billed securely via our payment processor Razorpay. Prices and terms of subscriptions are fully detailed during checkout.
  • Refunds: Physical products purchased from QRifyMe are subject to our Refund Policy. If you receive a damaged tag, you may request a replacement or refund within 7 days of delivery by contacting returns@qrifyme.com.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel recurring subscriptions at any time through your account settings. Active paid services will continue until the end of the current billing cycle.

6. Limitation of Liability and Indemnification

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, QRifyMe, its directors, employees, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

  • Physical damage, vandalism, theft, or break-ins to your vehicle.
  • Parking fines, towing fees, impoundments, or traffic violations.
  • Loss of data, vault documents, or business interruptions.
  • Any claims arising from masked calls, SMS, or WhatsApp communication between tag scanners and vehicle owners.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless QRifyMe and its affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your misuse of the Services, breach of these Terms, or violation of third-party rights.

7. Intellectual Property

All software, website designs, eTag custom designs, branding, logos, text, graphics, and trade secrets related to the QRifyMe platform are the exclusive intellectual property of QRifyMe Technologies. You may not copy, reverse engineer, modify, or distribute any part of our platform or physical products without our prior written consent.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make updates, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If the changes are material, we will provide more prominent notice (such as via WhatsApp message or email notification). Continued use of the Services after terms have changed constitutes your agreement to the new Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms and your relationship with QRifyMe shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of India.
